Glass Ceiling features in the Auckland Down Syndrome Association magazine!

September 16, 2025 by Charlotte Nightingale

We’d barely packed away the Pink Ladies jackets and the Brylcreem, when our cast of Grease young@part, from our South Auckland class, popped up in the Auckland Down Syndrome Association (ADSA) magazine!

“The joy, humanity and amazing-ness that is inclusive theatre” - you’ve got it in a nutshell! 💙

If we didn’t practise inclusion (for those with and without additional needs) then these young performers in the article wouldn’t be connected to many of the other young people in the group.

We love our collaboration with ADSA and we love this support and recognition of our mahi.

Giving equitable Arts opportunities to children and young people with Down syndrome and other disabilities, alongside their mainstream and neurotypical peers, is a no brainer for us, and these guys are all born performers! We are proudly inclusive and accessible for all.

Read the article in the September issue of the ADSA Magazine or as a PDF.
