Congratulations Manawa Trust

Thank you, Manawa Trust, for your continued support of our Tauranga class

Glass Ceiling Arts Collective is grateful to share that Manawa Trust, formerly known as TECT, continues its long-standing support of our Tauranga class, helping us keep offering inclusive performing arts opportunities to young people in the Western Bay of Plenty.

Our Tauranga group currently welcomes eight regular young performers aged 12 to 23, who come together each week to sing, dance, act and create in a space built on belonging rather than judgement. Programme Co-ordinator Tarina McKenzie describes the group as having grown into something like a big extended family, with friendships and connection at the heart of every session.

Manawa Trust's support helps make this possible, allowing us to keep offering flexible, accessible opportunities for local young people and their whānau. Trustee Rachael Gemming spoke to the impact this kind of programme has on the community, noting that programmes like Glass Ceiling create meaningful opportunities for young people to build confidence, friendships and a sense of belonging.

We're proud to have Manawa Trust alongside us as we continue to grow our Tauranga programme, creating more opportunities for young people to find their place, build friendships, and take their creativity to the stage.

We'd love to welcome more young people to our Tauranga class! If you know a young person who'd enjoy singing, dancing, acting, creating, or simply connecting with others in a safe and supportive space, get in touch via our website, Facebook page, or email tauranga@glassceilingartscollective.com.
