Performed by our amazing Whangārei inclusive youth theatre cast, with special guest performances from our Hikurangi dance class, Shrek The Musical JR. was a fun, feel-good show for the whole family.
The story goes …. once upon a time, in a far away swamp, lived an ogre named Shrek - but his peaceful life is turned upside down when a bunch of banished fairytale misfits invade his home! To get his swamp back, Shrek strikes a deal with the pint-sized tyrant Lord Farquaad: rescue the fiery Princess Fiona, and all will be well.
Joined by his wisecracking sidekick Donkey, Shrek sets off on a hilarious, musical adventure filled with dragons, secrets, and unexpected love. But this is no ordinary fairytale - there are twists, turns, and big laughs along the way!
