Glass Ceiling Arts Collective's
Whangārei rangatahi class
proudly presented
Whangārei Glass Ceiling Rangatahi class invited the community to come rock the 80's with them as they performed their version of the outstanding Musical Production of Rock of Ages - Youth Edition, for 2 shows only.
Think Glam rock - big hair - big shoulder pads and big anthem songs, which you probably knew off by heart - the audience were encouraged to sing along and join in the party with our incredible performers, showcasing the very best of inclusive theatre to our Whangārei community and beyond!
Set in 1987 Hollywood, Rock of Ages - Youth Edition followed small-town arrivals Sherrie and Drew as they met at the legendary Sunset Strip, The Dupree Room. When real estate developers threatened to demolish the strip, a fading rock star's final concert, young romance, and classic 1980s anthems collided in a high-energy blast from the 80's past!
The show times were:
Saturday 26th September 2026, 7pm
Sunday 27th September 2026, 3:30pm
