Glass Ceiling Arts Collective's
South Auckland class
proudly presented
Grease young@part
In this high-energy production from Glass Ceiling Arts Collective’s South Auckland class, audiences were transported to Rydell High and the senior class of 1959 complete with slick-haired T-Birds and the confident, quick-witted Pink Ladies in their bobby socks and pedal pushers, capturing the spirit and style of the 1950s.
At the heart of the story is a surprise reunion between leather-jacketed greaser Danny and sweet, down-to-earth Sandy, whose summer romance is put to the test when they find themselves unexpectedly reunited at the same school. Can they navigate the challenges of teenage life and rediscover what brought them together?
Filled with beloved classics like Summer Nights, Greased Lightnin’, Hopelessly Devoted to You, and You’re the One That I Want, this youth edition of Grease was specially adapted for young performers and audiences. The show featured dynamic choreography, eye-catching costumes, and powerful vocals, a vibrant celebration of youth, inclusion, and joy on stage.
