We stepped into the enchanted world of Disney's Beauty and the Beast Jr. as Glass Ceiling's West Auckland Performing Arts Crew (WAPAC) brought this much-loved classic to life at the Glen Eden Playhouse in early September!
We joined Belle, a bright and adventurous young woman, as she discovered that true beauty lay within. When she met the mysterious Beast, a prince trapped by an enchantress's curse, the pair embarked on a heartwarming journey of friendship, courage, and love. But with time running out, could the Beast learn to love and be loved before the final petal fell?
This magical production was performed by an incredible cast of talented rangatahi, with and without disabilities, showcasing the power of shared participation, creativity, and community. Filled with unforgettable songs, colourful characters, and plenty of Disney magic, it was a performance that warmed hearts and left audiences smiling.
